LORRAINE MARY BRANCO
(HORBACIO)
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her stepdaughter Ana (Richard) Bizarria; two grandchildren, Lucas and Julia; and two stepsons, Neilson Branco and Victor Branco. Lorraine also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, John (Marcia) Horbacio, Arthur (Carol) Horbacio, Eddy Horbacio, Dolores Swayzie, Alice Horbacio, Carol (Ric) Bandura, Marylou (Paul) Spadafore, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her father Roy Horbacio, mother Dora Horbacio (Hladun), and her brother Nicholas Horbacio.
Lorraine always had a serving heart. She was extremely dedicated to her career as a server at Rae and Jerry's for 39 years. Lorraine met many individuals whilst working - many of whom later turned out to be lifelong friends. She took pride in her work and provided quality customer service. Lorraine loved to open up her home to others and entertain her family and friends. She enjoyed organizing dinners and spent a lot of time ensuring that every little detail was perfect. All who visited appreciated her talent in the kitchen, as she was an amazing cook who always provided a variety of delicious meals. Lorraine was an outgoing individual that loved to laugh; this was seen through her charismatic smile. She was extremely loyal to her family and friends and was always willing to extend a helping hand where needed. In the last few years of her life, she enjoyed supporting her husband's passion for the great outdoors. She loved spending time in their garden and entertaining family and friends in their rural home. Lorraine was an exceptional woman with a kind soul; she will be deeply missed.
We would like to extend a thank you to all of the staff at Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital who helped to take care of Lorraine during her journey with cancer.
Lorraine's funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue, viewing at 9:00 a.m. and services at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main Street.

We met as tax associate and customer but over the years became friends. She and Vic and I became quite close. I will miss her. I had stopped by her home on Monday afternoon but of course she wasn't there. She had visited me a couple of weeks before that. Please accept my condolences and know that Lorraine was an exceptional person. - Posted by: Carol Sulyma (Friend for 24 years) on: Sep 14, 2019
