Bill worked for 33 years at the Manitoba Youth Centre before retiring in 2007. During Bill's retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids, as well as weekly golf games with friends. Bill took some well deserved trips after his retirement to Vancouver, Omaha, Las Vegas, Hawaii and in 2012 the entire family enjoyed a week in Mexico together.
Special thanks to all the nurses and health care aides that provided excellent care for Bill during this stressful time. A special thank you to Dr. Anthony Pattad for his professionalism and compassion during Bill's stay at St. Boniface.
As per Bill's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

Iris, Colleen, Grant and families, we are truly sorry for the loss of Bill. The shock of someone passing so quickly is so very hard to take. We wish we were closer to home right now, but will be home on the Thanksgiving weekend. We have been thinking about you a lot. We will come and see you when we get home. Please try to think of all the lovely things that the family enjoyed over the years. We found that helped in making the days seem a little brighter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please take care and live each day as it comes, some will be better than others. See you when we get home.
