Paulina was born at home and lived on the farm near Camper, Manitoba until the family moved to Winnipeg. As the eldest child in a large first generation Canadian family, Paulina had much responsibilities helping her parents with the farm as well as looking after her siblings. Soon after the Second World War ended, she met her future husband after his return from overseas war service. They married in Winnipeg in 1948 and settled in a new house at 53 Kingswood Avenue in St. Vital in 1950. All six of her children grew up in that small house and Paulina lived there until 2010 when she moved to Seine River Residence. She passed away after a brief illness at Health Sciences Centre.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and Paulina will be interred next to her husband Douglas and daughter Helen at Green Acres Cemetery.
