ERIC MORROW

Eric Morrow passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 9, 2019.
He was born August 25, 1955 to Ruth and Dennis Morrow in Wynyard, SK. He was predeceased by his father (2000) and twin siblings, Penny and Denny (1965). He is survived by his mother; children, Ryan (Leann), Dylan (Bree), Krisjan (Megan) and Mark (Josée); the mother of his children Cheryl; his grandchildren, Riley, Jase, Jaxson, Caleb and Aaliyah; his siblings, Ken (Kim), Shelley Peattie (Ken), Darcy (Sharon), and Heather Hiebert (Glen); and his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Grant Hackman, who the family would especially like to thank for his unconditional love and support for Eric.
Eric graduated with a BA in music. He enjoyed sharing his love of music through teaching and playing the piano and attending concerts with his friends and family. He was proud to work with his sons as a partner at the family business, Mordyck Auctions.
He bonded with his boys and shared his love of God with them through yearly trips to father and son camp, motorcycle trips and spending time at the lake. Eric loved his family and talked about them endlessly. We all miss him dearly. Eric, and his legacy, lives on with us.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Victoria Hospital for the kind and compassionate care they provided in his final days.
A service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, with a lunch to follow at 12:00 p.m.

  • Our condolences to Ericโ€™s family. We have so many fond memories of breakfasts with Eric and Cheryl and at least one baby when we lived in Wpg. We always enjoyed his piano music at church...he made use of the entire keyboard! ...and we wanted to take him with us when we moved west! ~Elayne & Peter Goertzen - Posted by: Elayne Goertzen (Friends) on: Oct 15, 2019

  • We are so sad to hear of Eric's passing. We have so many fantastic memories of time spent together. We will miss his generous laugh and his incredibly beautiful music, when he played the piano I always felt like that's what heaven would sound like. Our condolences to his family. Lots of love, Gladys and Barry - Posted by: Gladys and Barry Hammond (Friends) on: Oct 14, 2019

  • We were so saddened to learn of Eric's passing.....in so... many.... ways, we will all miss him. We hold you, his family, close in our thoughts and prayers. Eric made a difference in all of our lives and for the gift of being able to call him "friend" and "neighbor" we will be forever grateful. • Eric was warm and kind and shared his fun and caring ways with everyone around him. He worked so hard at everything he did. His talents seemed to be endless with his music taking you away to a magical place as he made the keys come alive. His gardens would flourish under his caring touch, and the beautiful bouquets he would create with the flowers that bloomed. I feel that he had this same special gift with all the people in his life that he loved and he was loved in return. We as a group are a part of his lovely bouquet. I am sad that his beautiful flower in this life withered away much too soon. - Posted by: Pearl Thiell (friend) on: Oct 12, 2019

  • Special thoughts and Regard to Grant Hackman and related Family of Eric Morrow. Some people share their quips and company. Others, a touch of wisdom or pathos. Eric brought his considerable warmth and committed interest upon those who touched him in return. What greater treasure could there be for us as we share in this mystery of life and loving? He made this world a better place, and may our peace be just as everlasting. - Posted by: Eric Horenstein (friend) on: Oct 12, 2019
