EMANUEL VIEIRA SEBASTIAO
Besides his wife Arlete Santos he is survived by his son Miguel Santos Sebastiao and his daughter Ashley Santos Sebastiao. He also leaves to mourn his passing his mother Maria Natalina Domingos, sister Silvie Sebastiao, brother Andre Sebastiao, brothers- in-law, Jack Santos and Luis Pedro, sisters-in-law, Zezinha Santos and Andreia Cereijo, his nephew Alex Santos, and nieces, Kassey, Emma and Camila.
Over Emanuel's short life he lived in France, Portugal, and finally Canada. Despite everyone's fear that he wouldn't like Canada he adapted exceptionally well. Everyone welcomed and befriended him. Everyone loved his easy-going nature and sense of humour and he felt he had a full life with his friends and family here. Although he missed his family back in Portugal, he saw his future as being here with his wife and children that he loved with all his heart. Emanuel was happiest when out in nature fishing or simply driving through rural areas. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to celebrate his 24th wedding anniversary by taking his wife on a road trip through some of the areas he liked most in Manitoba. It was this appreciation for the simple things and lack of pretentiousness that made everyone feel so comfortable with him. No one could ever imagine that he would be taken away from us so soon. There was still so much to do and so much to say, but it was not to be. Those he left behind will have to wait until their journey here on earth comes to an end. I pray that when the time comes, he will take our hand and lead us to our next destination where we can all be together again.
The family thanks everyone for their support, especially Hi-Rise.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.

I met Emanuel back home in Fatima, in my late teens. We are both born in 1970 and in Portugal, we have our own groups to celebrate the different religious events in our small villages and main city, Fatima. He was well loved by our group of hundred born on the same year. He used to make everyone laugh, was always cheerful and a good friend!! He will be missed by everyone. Arlete, my dear friend who I got to work with for years back home, accept my condolences and wish you strength and courage to handle so much pain. To Miguel (my ex-student back home) and Ashley : be strong and may God protect you always. Your dad is an angel watching over you.
