Met Walter during my courtship with his wife’s sister in 1971. He always had a good story to tell and had a smirky smile that I always enjoyed. Always enjoyed my visit with him. When I married his sister-in-law Rose we moved to BC so my time visiting him became less and less but when we did visit Winnipeg we made sure to visit and his home was always inviting. Walter, you will be missed. David - Posted by: David Oleksuik (Brother in law) on: Oct 16, 2019

My Condolences to Wayne and Trevor. Walter lived down the road from me. I met him 20 years ago. I remember repairing his furnace. The Gas Company came there and said it would cost $400.00. I repaired it for $200.00. After that we became friends. I would do small electrical jobs and only charged him for parts. He would clear my snow. It was a great relationship. Walter said it like it is! I admired that in him. RIP Walter - Posted by: Garry Slota (Friend/Neighbour) on: Oct 16, 2019
