GERRY SMIT
November 19, 1945 - October 30, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gerry Smit at Riverview Health Centre on October 30, 2019, with family by his side.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 51 years, Jan Smit. To cherish his memory are his three children, Jodi (the late Ben), Jenna (John) and Jacqueline (Adam); his grandchildren, Madison, Ivy, Macey, Zoey and Kurt; his sister Nellie, and his brother Adrian (Mavine). He will also be missed by many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota St., Winnipeg on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at St. Vital Cemetery at a later date.
A special thank-you to all the staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fire Fighter Burn Fund or the Riverview Health Centre.
