• I have just learned of my dear friends passing. I met Ray when I was just a teenager thru Court Brooker. When Betty & Court got married, Ray & I were paired up together. I was maid of honour & Ray was Court’s best man. Ray was such a nice guy , always smiling. We all sure had a great time at that wedding. He was a person everyone liked. He will truly be missed. • My sincere condolences to Ray's family and field of friends. Before I even knew his name, I was very aware of a very handsome young man who walked by our house on Saturday mornings on his way to work at the local Safeway. Once I entered high school at Vincent Massey, a friendship eventually developed. I recall a specific day Ray when dropped by our home, also located on Dowker Ave right next to the school. I was in the midst of trying on a new coat to determine how much it needed to be shortened - my Mom and I were having a difference of opinion regarding length. Ray made major points with my Mom when he supported her preferred length... points made with me that day, not many. • We have lost a dear friend and wonderful person. I don't ever remember seeing Ray without a big smile on his face. Ray loved to share his interesting life and especially his adventures in movies, he did have a great face. One endearing memory I have of Ray is when he helped push my boyfriend's car out of a deep snow drift at Gimza Hut. Ray would remind me of this over the years with a big grin and a wink. • Ray, long time friend from school. We spent many hours at Ray's home on Dowker playing cribbage and ping pong. Ray's parents were great people, always there to greet you at the front door. Ray loved sports and the entertainment that followed. Over the past number of years we would get together with school mates for a lunch and talk about old times and present times.
