EMILY (ANN) LOUISE MABON
1937 - 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Mabon on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 after her battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Allan, of 48 years, and her grandson Christopher. Ann is survived by her daughter Carol, grandson Michael, and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kyla and Trinity. She is also survived by her partner Don, of 13 years, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann grew up in Belmont, MB where she spent many years on the farm with her family. After she met and married Allan they moved to Winnipeg where she spent many years working at Quinton's Dry Cleaners, a job she worked very hard at. Ann and Allan retired in Arnes, MB, became avid golfers and enjoyed the country life. She also volunteered many hours at Arnes Camp cooking for huge groups of people and loving every minute of it. Together they also spent a few winters in Weslaco, TX at the Pine to Palm Resort Park, golfing and making lifelong friends.
Ann was a very sweet, kind lady and she loved a good joke. Her laughter was infectious. She loved to do needlepoint pictures and made hundreds of them, every stitch precise and each picture was a work of art. She had a special bond with Cindy and Wade. Ann and Don spent many evenings sharing many stories and fond memories sitting on the deck with them.
Ann spent the last three years of her life in Oakview Place where she was taken care of and enjoyed being surrounded by people. A special thank you to the staff of Oakview for the care they provided in life, and at the end of Ann's life. The family will always be thankful for the compassion the team of individuals provided.
Cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Remember to 'Hold on to the love,
not the loss' when thinking about Ann.
