Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Over the years I have occasionally thought of Sylvia as she gave me my first job 50 years ago. I was 15 when she hired me (as a favour to my parents, Ann + Nick) to help out in the cafeteria in the basement of the Paris Bldg. It was a very positive first job. Sylvia was a very hard worker and I did not want to disappoint her. I still have the pearl ring she gave me at the end of the summer. So sorry for your loss Barry, Wayne and Tracy. - Posted by: janice (odaisky) scott (family friend) on: Jan 22, 2020

  • The Danylekos were our next door neighbors. I spent many hours at their home when my family was going through a difficult time. Sylvia was my “adopted Mom”. The entire family were so kind to me including their relatives in Brandon and Oakburn. I was treated as one of their own. I was so fortunate to speak to Sylvia before she moved out of the house on Beaver bend. I had the chance to let her know what she had done for me over all the years. You Sylvia will be forever in my heart. I am so very grateful to have had you in my life. Rest well❤️ XO Tracy I can still hear your Mom giving us hell for getting into her baking in the garage. I remember all the great times. My sincere condolences to you, Wayne and Barry as well as your families. - Posted by: Gaye (McLeod) Warner (Neighbor, friend) on: Dec 19, 2019

  • Deepest Sympathy! may all the happy memories you shared help to cushion some of the grief you are experiencing with this great loss... Shirley and I were room mates many many years ago when we worked in Brandon together. - Posted by: Sonia (lamb) Krykolowich (distant cousin) on: Dec 14, 2019
