May 14, 1947 - December 10, 2019
Eddy is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 50 years, Elaine, who cannot imagine life without him; his children, who adored him, Lisa (Darryl), Bradley (Jessica), and precious granddaughter Erin (whom he lovingly called "Toodles"); brother Lawrence (Dorothy); twin brother Ted (Bonnie); sister Sally; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddy was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Anne; his in-laws, John and Olga (Bahrey); and son Jonathan.
Eddy's family cannot express enough love and admiration to the staff of 6E Medicine at St. Boniface Hospital. They are all angels. Special hugs to Isaac and Don.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddy's name would be appreciated to The Canadian Cancer Society or Siloam Mission.
You will forever be in our hearts.
We love you and miss you.

I'm very sorry to hear of Mr. T's passing. I was a student of his at Kildonan East Collegiate from 1990 to 1993. He was an amazing teacher and mentor. I owe alot to him. My career path I took was based on his teachings in drafting which I still use to this day. I work in Construction since 1996. He made me try hard to be perfect, never gave me 100 percent. My last day of grade 12 he revealed his secret, he couldn't give me 100 or I'd stop trying to be better. Fantastic guy and a kind person. My thoughts are with his family. I'm proud to say I learned alot from him and he made me better and ready to take on the world. Scott Borgfjord, former Student Kikdonan East - Posted by: Scott Borgfjord (Student) on: Aug 14, 2025

I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I remember him while growing up as a good friend of my brothers, Wayne, Ken and Frank. They spent many hours of time together playing hockey and ping-pong at East End C.C. I especially offer sympathy and condolences to you Elaine and your family upon the loss of your dear husband. May God keep you in His care, surround you with His kindness, and bless you with His love. - Posted by: Linda Seepish (Aquaintances) on: Dec 22, 2019

Eddy was my first "Best" friend as a kid at Polson School. Truth is, he was a good friend to all who knew him. A great sense of humour with lots of great stories and fun to be around. We always stayed in touch even after I moved away from Winnipeg. Called one another on our birthdays and I never missed a visit when I was back home. Left us way too soon, sadly. I will miss him. My sympathies to Elaine and the family. - Posted by: Bill Temereski (Good Friend) on: Dec 20, 2019

As friends and neighbours for over 30 years we have many great memories. From Eddie helping us fix the giant hole in our basement to drinks on “deck day” we loved them all. Our hearts go out to the family. - Posted by: Ina and Stan Kuchciak (Friends) on: Dec 14, 2019
