AMELIA DANKEWYCH
Amelia was born in Verovitica, Yugoslavia on May 21, 1928. She was the only child of Franz and Regina Schaffhauser. She was predeceased by her parents.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 67 years, Walter, and their children: Lydia (Axel), Sonja, Walter (Terrina) and Jeannette (Randall), also her grandchildren: Joe, Morgan, Heidi, Brittney, Matthew, Kylie and Jaxon. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren.
The prayers and the funeral will be held at Sts. Volodymyr and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral at 115 McGregor Ave. Prayers are at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, and the funeral liturgy is at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael Buyachok celebrating. A light lunch will follow at the parish hall beside the church after the burial.
