We were very sorry to hear of Allan's passing. Condolences to you, Gail, and the entire family. Although we have lived in Montreal for many years, we have fond memories of meeting you and Allan years ago when we were young, and our occasional meetings since at weddings and funerals. You are in our thoughts. - Posted by: Jennifer and Larry Husbands (Inlaws) on: Jan 14, 2020

So, so sorry to hear this. We met Alan through Margaret and Jim Duncan when he and Gail came to stay with them in Scotland, a couple of years ago. We felt friendship instantly and it was so easy to love him and Gail and we had so much fun. He talked about coming to The Netherlands 1-2 years later, to visit his dad's war grave and I was hoping to help him with that.( me being Dutch) Sad to say it never happened. Alan, you will always be in our memory as the kind and loving man you were. Gail and family, our thoughts and love are with you. Big hug to you all, Nelleke and Jonathan. - Posted by: Nelleke and Jonathan Sheldrick (Friends) on: Jan 10, 2020
