GEORGE STANLEY GERUS
April 13, 1948 - January 3, 2020
He is survived by his loving wife Micki; pet dog Teeka; sisters, Jean and Joyce; brother Moe; nieces, Page and Dawn; nephew Adam, as well as many close friends.
George was owner-operator of Harvick's Auto Upholstery for over 30 years; he loved his job and his customers. He retired August 30, 2013, when he found his second passion - volunteering as a driver for Access Transcona. We enjoyed our many happy years in Gimli and loved the lake.
Special thanks to paramedics, Carl and Jeremy, and the First Responders for all their efforts.
As per George's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
"Rest peacefully, hon!"

I worked with George for a couple of years in around 2001. Real nice guy, was wondering what happened to him. Hope Mikki sees this. - Posted by: Pat Rogoski (employee) on: May 26, 2021

My dearest George, RIP. Thank you for giving us a fresh look at rural Manitoba complete with a taste of old Hungarian culture as well as many others. To top it off you always knew where to buy the very best kielbosa in Winnipeg. You even knew how to package the kielbosa so it didn't smell, identifying the contents to all travelers. Thanks George, you're the best our friend. RIP - Posted by: Jean Ragan and Ed Ragan (Best friends) on: Jan 21, 2020

You will be missed dearly Uncle George. There are so many memories I will cherish. The early years of camping and fishing at Dauphin River and Clear Lake especially when you rolled the window up while my head was sticking out the window. Thank you for the memories up at Rushing River and our weekend at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival. Your smile and laugh will forever be imprinted in my heart. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Dawn Tarnowski (Niece) on: Jan 11, 2020
