MARY SUL
(nee YELLOWEGA)
Mary was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1998, her dad Peter, mom Tillie,
son-in-law Jack and daughter-in-law Claudette. Also predeceased by both her brothers, Steve and Bill, brothers-in-law, Mike and George Sul, sisters-inlaw, Fabiola Sul, Lil Yellowega and Florence Sul as well her great-granddaughter (baby) Kalli Weibe and nephews, David Sul, Karl and Larry Yellowega (baby).
Mom is survived by her children, Levinia Scott, Mervin, Donald (Adrienne) and
Leonard (Diane), sister-inlaw Lena Yellowega, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mom was born in Ashville, Manitoba on
January 5, 1920. She grew up and attended school in the Ethelbert area. Her first job was in McCreary, Manitoba for three and a half years. This is where she met the love of her life Steve. They were married in 1940 and farmed in McCreary and Laurier, Manitoba. In 1955 the family moved to Winnipeg. Mom worked seven years cleaning offices, then worked for St. Boniface Hospital where she became a housekeeping supervisor until her retirement in 1984.
She was a devoted member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, an active UCWLC member and a Citizen 50 club member. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo. Mom took great joy in cooking and baking for her
family that she loved so much.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the St. John's ward at Holy Family Nursing Home for the kind, compassionate and respectful care of our mother for the last 10 years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W-1T9 or a charity of your choice.
A private family service and interment will be held.
Pallbearers will be Mike Boissonneault, Joe Scott, Garry Scott, Gerry Sul, Darryl Sul and Cory Sul.
Mom, you are loved and
will never be forgotten.
May God bless you and keep you safe.
Until we meet again.

Many years have gone by, but I still remember our good neighbors piling us all into Mr. Sul's 1940 Ford and away we'd go to Clear Lake to spend a beautiful summer's day. Good times, great memories. Our condolences to you all . - Posted by: Leo and Geraldine Lapointe (friend) on: Jan 15, 2020
