Left to cherish his memory are his children: Harry (Val), John (Judy) and Gisela (Carl); seven grandchildren and spouses; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry and Albert (Eugenia); extended family and many friends.
The family would like to thank Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home for providing a good home and excellent loving care for our Dad.
A celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, Winnipeg. Viewing prior to the service with interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made in his name to Bethania Spiritual Care or Mennonite Central Committee.
Dad was thankful to be a citizen of Canada, a country which gave freedoms and opportunities to him and his family. "A proud Canadian".

I loved “Uncle” John, my Dad’s first cousin. In 1972, when I was 12, he sent me all of the Esso Power Players hockey stickers and the book to put them in.
