Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Sadly, I just learned of Denise’s passing. I met her during our almost daily visits to Deer Lodge. Her to see Ed and me to visit my dad. It was always so good to see that familiar face esp. on those extra rough days. We did some of the recreational outings tog. with our loved ones, as well as the odd coffee, dinner or event there. After Ed and dad passed, I would run into here periodically in St Vital and we’d stop and chat. Usually me asking her about her travels and family and her seeing how I was enjoying life and my grandson. We saw her late last yr at mall. She was having coffee in the food court with a younger couple and I waved. She popped over to our table to catch up for a few minutes before they departed. Such a kind, realistic and lovely lady. Wish I could have been there to celebrate her life. Condolences to her family and friends on her passing. Heaven has gained another angel. - Posted by: Diane Rainka (Met at Deer Lodge ) on: Feb 19, 2020

  • I just saw this obituary and am heart broken that Denise has passed away. I had no idea and wish I had known that she wasn’t well. She was a lovely, kind woman who I will miss very much sharing stories and laughter. I will never forget her. Such a beautiful soul. - Posted by: Rositha Jeanson (Her friend and reflexology therapist) on: Feb 13, 2020

  • She wasn’t only my Sister. She was my Friend, my Mentor and my sometime Mom. I spent a lot of my young life at her house, and later as an adult. We went on a few adventures together. She was such a great Mom. She loved her children deeply. Family was everything to her. I’ve never met anyone like her. She had a gift for dealing with people. A kind word, a soft touch, a warm meal. She seemed to know exactly what was needed. She always made you feel special. And she gave the best hugs. She also had a great sense of humour, and always saw the good in everyone. She endured more than most and did so with such humility and grace. I admired her optimism. The world is not a better place without her. I will miss her terribly. She wasn’t only my Sister. She was my Hero. - Posted by: Sandra (Sister) on: Feb 05, 2020

  • Our deepest condolences to your family over the loss of your loved one. Sorry for your deep loss. - Posted by: Patricia Spence (Daughter in-laws, Chantal's grandmother) on: Feb 05, 2020

  • My deepest condolences to Denise’s family, none of you know me but I just loved your mom, I was the barber/hairdresser at Deer lodge for 26 years and she would bring your dad for haircuts all the time.. She was such a wonderful person and shared her delicious banana bread recipe with me, which I make quite often and think of her every time I do! She was a pleasure to have known her. - Posted by: Sandra Magnusson (Friend) on: Feb 04, 2020

  • My deepest condolences to the Demetrioff and Herie family and friends 🙏 - Posted by: Gail Radke (Distant cousin through marriage ) on: Feb 01, 2020
