(nee GREENE)
April 21, 1938 - January 29, 2020
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Cheri (Josie), Tandy (Carl), Judy (Darryl) and Jackie; her grandchildren: Joni, Alicia, Dana, Darryl Jr., Devin, Dion, Raymond, Gelisa, Anjolina and Emily; adopted grandkids: Roxanne and Steven; and her great-grandchildren: Rylee, Liam, Elsie, Lily, Khali, Jeremy Jr., Jeremiah, Giavanna and Daken. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings: Bertha, Gloria, Francine, Julia, Fred Jr., Stewart, Carl and Bradley.
Hilda was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Doris Greene, her husband Bob, son Joey, and many other loved ones before her.
Mom was a residential school survivor, where she met her childhood sweetheart and future husband. She loved working in later years as a Medical Transporter/Translator for Health Canada. She was an avid bingo player and loved her time travelling to casinos with family. Mom also loved crocheting and knitting for everyone. She enjoyed all kinds of music, especially gospel. Her all-time favourite musicians were Elvis Presley and George Jones. Mom enjoyed family time at powwows and made many, many friends along the powwow trail.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Immediate family are welcome from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and open visitation is from 7:00 p.m. to 800 p.m. Funeral service takes place Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. Burial to follow in Green Acres Cemetery and the pallbearers will be Raymond, Darryl Jr., Devin, Dion, Steven, Alicia and Gelisa.
