JEAN DANYLCHUK
(nee HAWRYSHKO)
May 7, 1945 – February 12, 2020

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and baba at the age of 74 at the Health Sciences Centre.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alex of 53 years; sons, Albert and Danny (Judy) and grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua and Marissa, who she loved and adored. She will be missed by her brothers, Bill (Eva), Frank (Gayle), Harry (Sylvia), Tony and sister-in law Olga; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary and brother Peter.
Mom grew up in Zhoda, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg in her late teens to work, while continuing regular visits back to the farm to be with her family. Mom and dad lived in Lorette for four years after getting married, and then moved to Winnipeg. While the boys were young, mom stayed at home and babysat numerous neighbourhood kids and later dedicated her time to volunteering to help those who needed care at the Maples Personal Care home, where she earned numerous certificates of recognition for volunteer services, including a Distinguished Service Award in 1996.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Winnipeg, MB.
