BERNARD M. BOISJOLI
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Loraine; their sons, Micah (Lisa), Myron (Lana) and grandchildren, Stephanie, Sawyer, Aubrey and Sienna. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Boisjoli of St. Anne, MB.
He is survived by his brothers, Marc (Linda), Maurice (friend Louise), nephews and niece, Damien (Jess), Kristen (Jason) and family and Paul (Monique).
Bernie grew up in St. Anne, MB. After high school, he went to Winnipeg and worked for a few years until he attended Red River College where he obtained his Power Engineering certificate, which he later upgraded to 2nd class. He worked at both Victoria Hospitals and then at Health Sciences Centre in the powerhouse, where he retired after more than 30 years.
Bernie was an Engineer, but also a mechanic, electrician, plumber, carpenter and welder, which enabled him to build and maintain our home of 48 years.
Our family fondly remembers camping vacations and many outdoor activities. After retirement, Bernie and Loraine enjoyed winters in Phoenix, AZ, trips to Europe, Hawaii and to locations in Canada and the US. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July, 2019.
Thank you to Dr. V. Dao for her care during his four year struggle with multiple myeloma.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
