Rudi had a dry sense of humor. I will miss his phone calls. RIP. Sorry I didn’t go to his funeral. It was due to Covid 19. Christine - Posted by: Christine (Co-worker) on: Jul 10, 2020

Dear Shirely and Family, our sincere sympathy and heartfelt condolences. We hope and pray that you may have the strength and courage to go through this time of mourning. Rudy had to suffer so much in his last years of live, but now he is relieved. We will remember him as a forthright and helpful person. - Posted by: Beate & Jens Riese (NAC Church Members) on: Mar 19, 2020

I ran into Rudi for the first time when he worked in the basement of the north end station when I went to register my first firearm and then years later when I joined and worked in the north end with him. He sure did have an interesting and dry sense of humour. I found him to be an honorable man and I respected him. To the family I offer my condolences on your loss, to Rudi I say Rest in Peace brother. - Posted by: Peter Derksen (Coworker) on: Mar 19, 2020

So sad to hear of Rudi’s passing. First worked with him in the north end in the mid 70’s and then again in the mid 2000’s. I would run in to him after that walking in East and North Kildonan. Great guy with a dry sense of humor. R.I.P. - Posted by: John Sobczak (Coworker) on: Mar 15, 2020
