HELENA GONCALO TAVARES
Helena was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal and moved to Canada in 1972.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio Tavares, parents, Antonio and Mariana Goncalo, one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by daughter Maria (Manuel) Pereira, sons, Antonio (Gail) Tavares and Leonardo (Gina) Tavares, grandchildren Joshua (Lisa), Melanie Pereira, Daniella and Brianna Tavares, and great-grandchildren, Emily and Theo Pereira.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa, Unit 1.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helena's name to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
