  • Even though I only Darlene for a short time. My wife and I absolutely loved her zest for life and how she was always so friendly. It breaks our hearts she will no longer be apart of our community at the Edison. Mark Loewen - Posted by: Mark Loewen (Friend) on: Apr 15, 2020

  • I am sorry to hear of Darlene`s passing. Over 30 plus years we had many laughs usually over a glass or two of wine. Darlene was a lot of fun, She enjoyed life to the fullest. When she did renovations in her home she always chose the best products which resulted in a beautiful spotless home. She had excellent taste in everything including her wardrobe. She also sampled at the MLCC outlets for years. She travelled extensively with Myra and enjoyed every amazing trip. She took time to go and see Jonathan out west every year or two. Darlene accomplished lots in her life and enjoyed her brother and close friends. My condolences to all who are mourning her loss. She will be missed. • It is with great sadness to hear about the passing of your Mother, sister, aunt and a dear friend of mine since we met at Munroe Junior High School and remained friends all these years. We went through a lot together as teenagers (we won't talk about that) and through adulthood. I will forever cherish the many wonderful memories that we shared together. In particular, our last coffee date in August when she was so happy about her future retirement plans, her new apartment, new found relationship, travelling, etc. We were to meet last December in Arizona and when that didn't happen, I soon learned why. I remember the last hug we shared in August, so strong and long, as if it was our last. Little did we know it was. The memory of our last coffee date, her happiness and our last hug will be forever imprinted in my mind. What a wonderful way to forever remember my dear friend, Darlene. - Posted by: Kathy Desautels (Friends) on: Mar 24, 2020

  • I am writing this to offer my sincere condolences to Darlene's loved ones. My husband and I worked with Darlene for many, many years. I always admired Darlene's sense of style and her true passion for travel. I was fortunate enough to have seen Darlene in early January at Chapters. She looked wonderful and I had said to her "that retirement definitely agrees with her". I will forever remember her that way! - Posted by: Niki Nazarewich (Friend/Co-worker ) on: Mar 23, 2020
