JOHN WILLIAM WALL

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John William Wall on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the age of 62 years, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
John was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Agnes Wall, and leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Lori, sons, Alex and Jake, twin sister Cathy, brother Bob and his wife Berny, brother Art and family, sisters-in-law, Carol (Doug) and Jean, and their families.
John was raised in North Kildonan and after graduating high school worked in the telecommunications industry in Alberta, where he met Lori, the love of his life. They moved back to Winnipeg, married, and raised their two sons in Transcona, where they lived happily for over 35 years. John was a devoted family man, always so proud of his boys and happiest in the company of his family and dear wife, Lori.
John loved the outdoors and cherished his fishing trips with his long-term friends. He also enjoyed many happy times fishing at the cottage and relaxing on the dock in the sunshine, listening to the blues. John loved to cook, and would barbecue every day if he could. John and Lori always looked forward to their annual trips to Mexico, and were so glad to be able to enjoy one last holiday before his illness.
John will be remembered for his sense of humour, clever wit, and love of life. He was always ready to lend a hand and help a friend. John, you were taken from us way too soon.
Thank you to all the friends and family who came to visit John from near and far during his final illness. Grateful thanks to the dedicated nurses at St. Boniface and Ste. Anne Hospitals.
Cremation has taken place, and at John's request, no formal service will be held.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • John, I was lucky to have met you at young age and I thought it was so cool to go in your crawl space and read MAD magazines and eat peanut butter sandwiches:). One of my most memorable teenage experiences was cruising to White Dog Falls with you, in your Pinto. You were a gentle giant John, may you rest in peace. - Posted by: Peter Kolodka (childhood friend) on: Apr 03, 2020

My job ability was enhanced by his ability. We would exchange Mexico vacation stories all the time. - Posted by: Al Moorhouse (Co-worker) on: Mar 31, 2020
