I have had a variety of careers in my life, starting out with nursing, then being a mother and homemaker (my favourite), then on to the Canadian Wheat Board, and finishing with Agriculture Canada until I retired.
Bud and I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Costa Rica, cruising the Caribbean, and frequent short trips to Grand Forks. We had many exciting adventures and truly enjoyed our vacations - camel riding, rafting, zip lining, fishing, watching dolphins swim beside our boat and just relaxing. Love you Bud! You always made me feel so loved.
In my younger years I was lucky to have the enjoyment of many summers at Dorothy Lake. Great memories, swimming, fishing and just having fun. In my later years, thoroughly enjoyed our backyard pool with all the nieces, nephews and friends, those were fun times!
Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface CancerCare for their wonderful care. Dr Altman and his staff were wonderful. A big thank you to the staff at Riverview who made my journey the best it could be. Thank you!
A Celebration of Life will be held once it is safe to gather again, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, or the Fire Fighter's Burn Fund.

To my second mother who always fed me fresh chocolate chip cookies, who always made sure the house was open to friends, who always made sure that I felt special, who always put up with our crap, who made sure the pool thermostat was set higher after football practice, and who always had a hug for me when I saw her. Your affirmation to everyone around you that i was your second son made me feel so loved. I will miss you so much Mrs. Epp. All the best in the next step in your life. Your 3 year fight is inspiring to all of us. - Posted by: Jason Ferguson (Tou will be missed from your SECOND SON) on: Mar 30, 2020

Bud, Andrew, Carrie, & family, I am sorry for your hearts. Nancy was an absolute treasure of a woman. Beautiful, witty, generous, compassionate, with a wicked sense of humour. Our food shopping excursions to Gimli Fish, Chocolate Zen, & "2 Cows' Butcher," were always hilarious & delicious. We used to go to CityLooks for hair appointments, where lots of x-rated stories & laughs were shared. I will miss my dear brave friend. Grateful she is out of pain. - Posted by: Karen Hanushchak-Williamson (Friend & coworker) on: Mar 28, 2020

I am saddened to hear of Nancy’s passing. We were quite friendly when we worked together in AAFC, sharing many breaks together, discussing our new lives as single women. Nancy was one who smiled a lot and had a good sense of humour. Cancer can steal your body, but it cannot steal the memories we shared with one another. Condolences to her entire family! - Posted by: Linda Gillis (former co-worker) on: Mar 28, 2020
