LOUISE REIMER
November 1, 1942 - March 21, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Reimer.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, Jim Reimer; and by her parents. Louise is survived by her daughter, Jori (Brian); granddaughter, Jordan; brother, John; her dear niece, Shelby (Miguel); stepsons, Conrad, Bobby, Clifford, and their families; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mom was born in Winnipeg, leading a simple life, and was very proud of what she was able to accomplish in her 77 years. It was her co-workers at Burns Meats that made the 30 years on the assembly line enjoyable. Mom surrounded herself with a small close-knit group of family and friends. These included her brother, John, for his love and faithful companionship; Doreen and her family, for their unwavering love, support, and care; and all of her dear friends, especially cousin Louise, Lorna, and Sheila, for bringing sisterhood, laughter and crazy adventures to Mom's life. Mom's greatest pride and joy was her granddaughter, Jordan. Mom truly cherished her time with Jordan, and marvelled how she was growing into a wonderful, young woman.
Louise had a number of passions. These included travelling, which began as a teenager hitchhiking to Kenora, and ending as a cool senior driving a scooter on the Las Vegas strip. She loved the great outdoors, fishing, tanning by day, and campfire stories (with Yahtzee) at the lake by night. She also loved "Trail End Camp", playing keno, bingo and slots with her casino crew, making sure everyone rubbed the blue dot for luck.

Mom, may your travels be endless,
your lakes stocked with fish, may you hit
the big jackpot, and dance, with your
dear mother, to Abba's Chiquitita.
You are at home and will never be alone.
I love you dearly, Jori.

May those close to Mom always cherish her good nature, caring heart, and laughter.
In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place with a small gathering to be held at a later date.

"When I am gone, release me. Let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many
beautiful years.
I gave to you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time I travelled on alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.
And if you listen with your heart,
You'll hear all my love around you
soft and clear.
And then, when you must
come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile
and say welcome home..."
