ELENORE (PAT) DEMCHENKO
March 8, 1939 – April 2, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Elenore Patricia Eloise Demchenko, nee Doyle.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Elenor (Scanlon); brother Russell; and father and mother-in-law, John and Zennia Demchenko.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Dan, of 59 years - they were married June 10, 1961; their children: John and Sandra (Werhya), Dan and Dawn (Schaab); grandchildren, Zachary, Eleanor, Jackson, Gabriella, Michael and Helene (Wolf) and Patricia; granddaughter Destiny; Pat's siblings: John and Joyce (Johnson), sister-in-law Carol Sue (Brady), Julianne, Ed and Margarite (Hickey), Larry and Mary Lou (McCrory); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pat is also survived by so many great friends and best friends.
We will dearly miss her positivity, love of travel and adventure that she and Big Dan were so fortunate to take, collecting recipes, her love of singing and her grandchildren.
A celebration of Pat's amazing life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South East Helping Hands, 525 Main Street, Steinbach, MB, R5G 0L5.

  • I am so sad to learn of this. Pat was a second mom to me during my teens. I will forever remember her laugh, and her generous hospitality. My sincerest condolences to Dan, John, Little Dan, Mike and Trish. You are all in my heart. - Posted by: Kelly Martel (Friend) on: Apr 09, 2020

  • Larry and Marylou, so sorry to read that Pat has passed. Remembering the great time Don and I had at the cottage for your 25th. Pat and Dan always made us feel very welcome. Hugs to your family, from the Hughes family. - Posted by: Lorraine Hughes (Friend of relative.) on: Apr 07, 2020
