BERT SHEREMET
1926 - 2020
Dad was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada with his parents at an early age. In 1943 he joined the Army and after his discharge he spent many years in the welding industry as an Inspector going on to own and operate his own business.
Dad was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion holding an honorary lifetime membership. He was a proud veteran and held various prominent positions organizing and supporting many initiatives for the legion and our veterans.
Dad will be forever loved and deeply missed by his daughters, Debbie (Ernie) and Wendy (Peter); son Robert (Doreen); as well as his grandchildren. Dad will also be sadly missed by his extended family who loved and cared for him at Deer Lodge Centre. Thank you and God bless all of you. Dad was predeceased by his longtime partner Bara Thornsteinson and grandson Shane.
Cremation has taken place, a private service will be held at a later date.
If friends so wish, donations may be made in Bert's memory to Deer Lodge Centre Foundation.

I met Bert when I was a teenager working Bingo at the Legion. We became instant friends. I loved hearing his stories. He was one of the kindest men I've had the honor of knowing. I ended up hiring him as a Maintenance Man for Quality Management where he was loved and respected. I had no idea he was over 70 at the time! He was full of life and love everywhere he went. RIP my dear old friend 🙏❤⚘ - Posted by: Arlie-Ann Sigurdson (Friend) on: Jan 22, 2022

I am sorry to hear of Bert’s passing. In the late 70s I hired Bert to install new stainless lines at Modern Dairies. He was up to the task and was fun to have working with our crew. Condolences to Bert’s family. - Posted by: Wallace Sholdice (Modern Dairies) on: Apr 25, 2020
