NIKOLA KOSTIC
October 26, 1952 - April 30, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Nikola. Nikola, was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Nikola passed away at the age of 67, at the Riverview Health Centre, from a terminal illness.
Nikola is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mara; his children, Gordana (Darko) and Dragan (Branka); as well as his grandchildren, Marija, Mirjana, Maksim, Aleks, Nikolaj and Jovan.
Nikola was born in 1952, in the small village of Mokro Polje, Dalmacia, in the former Yugoslavia. Nikola is survived by his brothers, Sava and Stevo; and sisters, Marija, Milica, Kosa, and Slavica. Nikola was predeceased by his parents, Janja and Stojan Kostic.
At the age of only 15, Nikola moved to Belgrade, Serbia to attend school and to look for better opportunities. In 1972, Nikola moved to Winnipeg, Canada where he met his beautiful wife Mara. Together, they built a life full of many fond memories spending time with friends and family. Nikola was an avid sportsman and enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He took great pride in his hard work and most pride in his family. Many will remember Nikola as a man of few words, but with a big heart. Always ready and willing to help others, Nikola will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dragi nas tata i deda, uvijek cemo
te voljeti i nikad necemo te zaboraviti.
Neka ti bude vecnja pamija.

It is with sadness that due to the current world pandemic and provincial restrictions; funeral services will be limited to only immediate family members.
Condolences and flowers may be sent directly to the family or to Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nikola's memory to the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 580 Talbot Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
