My relationship started when I was working with Duncan. At the time he was a resident in surgery. To later meet Melba and discover there were two people who were kind, generous and caring in the same family was wonderful. Melba gave me some of the best advice on child rearing that I have ever received. They even lent us the cradle for our three babies that Duncan had made for his children. Our paths crossed intermittently through the years, but my admiration for Melba and Duncan never wavered . My regret is not keeping closer contact with them. The world is a better place because of her. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. Sharon and Tom Trosky - Posted by: Sharon Trosky (Friend) on: May 13, 2020

So sorry for your loss of Melba. I worked with her for many years at Luther Home. She was a very kind and caring nurse, I remember she even bought wall paper to do one of the residents room for her that had no family close by. I remember when another co-worker brought in a puppy named Henry, Melba fell in love. She wanted him so bad and did get to adopt him as her own, she loved that dog. We had a lot of laughs and good times. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️🙏 - Posted by: Rhonda Edmonds (Friend/co worker) on: May 09, 2020
