ROBERT (BOB) DIDUR
June 22, 1949 - June 26, 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce that Bob passed away on June 26, 2020, in the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 71, after years of dealing with diabetes.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Merry; son Shane (Leya), daughter Farrah, and son Ryan (Leslie); grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Summer, and Trevin; and sisters, Jo-Anne (Brian) and Judy.
Bob worked for CNR Railroad for 32 years, retiring in 2005. He spent the last 15 years travelling south for the winter, camping, fishing, golfing, and watching his favourite NHL and MLB teams. One of his favourite activities was to host friends and family for dinner and loved to talk and tell stories. In the last years he enjoyed riding his scooter around the neighbourhood talking to the neighbours and racing the kids on the way to the mailbox.
A celebration of Bob's life will be announced at a later date, when we are safely able to come together. In the meantime, Bob's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by visiting his tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew him, are available there.
Memorial contributions to a diabetic cause of choice, or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have not seen Bobby for many years, but, he, and his wonderful sisters, are part of my family history. My memories are mostly of Bobby as a little boy. I am very sad for the family, my heart goes out to you all. You had amazing parents, they were, as you know very close with my Mom and Dad. I am sending love and hugs! When you are able to have a service, I will be there. 🙏🏼Bev - Posted by: Beverley Wolanik( Bohonos) (Friend) on: Jul 07, 2020

  • Bob was my fellow CN Pal and Golf buddy. All the good times we had at Bel Acres and Rossmere. Say hello to Jonsey when you see him. RIP Pal. - Posted by: Roland St.Laurent (Friend) on: Jul 04, 2020
