JOZSEF KOVACS
July 2, 1930 – August 15, 2020
He was predeceased by his wife Regina. He will be lovingly missed by his son Robert and daughter-in-law Carol.
Jozsef immigrated to Canada from Hungary during the revolution of 1956. He reflected fondly of his time spent at Werner Lake Ontario Mine, working at Transcona CNR Shops, and relaxing at the cottage in Lester Beach, Belair.
A private memorial and cremation have already taken place.

Dear family of Joe, I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing. I’ve been his neighbour for 11 years (apartment block @ 215 Douglas) and looked forward to seeing him whenever he was outside. I used to walk with him around the back lanes and then in his yard once he couldn’t do the walls any longer. He was happy to meet my baby girl and always had a story for me. Rob and Carol, Just found out about your dad's passing. My deepest condolences to the both of you. Going to miss sitting down and talking to him. It didn't happen that often but enjoyed it and I think he did too. Nice that he lived to 90 and got to enjoy retirement.
