ARMENIA FERREIRA PERDIGAO MARTINS
Armenia was predeceased by her parents, Maria Amelia and Mateus, her brother Filipe, her sister Otilia, and husband Candido. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Felipe, daughter-in-law Angie, two granddaughters, Marissa and Rene, family in Portugal, and many friends.
Armenia was born in Portugal on December 6, 1934, and immigrated to Canada in 1971 to be with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and dancing to Portuguese music. She will especially be remembered for her cooking skills and ability to keep her home impeccably clean. When she came to Canada, she learned the language enough to work in sewing factories, clean office buildings, and to chat with her new Canadian friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and helped raise them to be the great people they are today.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 17, 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, followed by an entombment at Assumption Cemetery Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the staff at Peter Lougheed in Calgary, Alberta for their care during Armenia's stay.
