STEFANIA LEZYNSKA
(née SUSIDKO)
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Jaroslaw Lezynski; children: Marta (Bogdan) Pecuch and Krystyna (Roman) Koczanski; grandchildren, Ola (Antony) Paulic and Peter Koczanski; brother, Miroslaw Susidko; Tychanski family; as well as numerous relatives and friends in Poland, Canada, United States, Germany and Spain.
She was predeceased by her parents: Antoni Susidko and Maria Susidko (née Tryszczyla).
Stefania was born in Powroznik, Lemkivshchyna (Poland) on April 13, 1941. Her life thereafter was woven by perdurable threads of migration, hard work, and love for her family, friends, church, and community.
After their wedding on November 17, 1963, Stefania and Jaroslaw both worked diligently on providing what was best for their growing family. They emigrated from Wroclaw to Krynica, and immigrated to Winnipeg in the mid-1980s. Not one to sit around for any length of time, Stefania worked professionally all her life and simultaneously created the most loving and happy home for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her ingratiating laughter about her, was integral in family conversations. Stefania's joyous and kind nature was only matched by her grace and elegance.
If we are, as it said, "shaped and fashioned by what we love," then our gentle thoughts and blessed memories will keep that love to be cherished by her family, always.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Kreml for the exceptional care provided. Our sincerest thank you to all of Stefania's home care ladies for their compassionate care. Thank you to Hania for your love and support. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses on units GH6 and GH7 at the Health Sciences Centre.
To our dear wife, mother and grandmother, thank you for leading us by your example of faith and love of family.
