Katharina Guenther passed away peacefully at Bethesda Place in Steinbach on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the age of 90.
She was born on October 7, 1925 to Jacob J. & Aganetha Guenther.
Katharina married Reverend Jacob S. Rempel in July of 1977. After his passing, she married Jacob S. Friesen in March of 1990.
She was predeceased by her parents: Jacob J. & Aganetha Guenther, 14 siblings (three of which died in infancy). She also was predeceased by her first husband Reverend Jacob S. Rempel and her second husband Jacob S. Friesen.
She is survived by her stepchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as her friend Gertie.
A big thank you to all the staff and helpers at Bethesda Place for all the love and care they gave to Katharina. A special thanks goes out to Gertie Braun for all the love and extra care she gave to her.
The funeral service for Katharina will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with the interment at Stuartburn Sommerfeld Mennonite Church Cemetery, Stuartburn, MB.
Also we would like to thank Birchwood Funeral Chapel for everything they did.
