JOHN REMPEL
1931 – 2015
With great sadness, the family wishes to announce the passing of our Dad on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the age of 84.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Rempel on March 25, 2014.
Left to mourn his passing are his children: Mel (Sharon), Val (Carl) and Jan (Vic); grandsons: Michael, Cody, Jarrod and step grandsons Francis and Trevor.
Dad was born in the RM of Stanley and grew up in the area until he and Mom married in 1953 and moved to Winnipeg. Together they raised their three children and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Dad touched many people in his life during his career with both Dominion and Safeway Stores. After retirement Dad & Mom spent their time camping near and far meeting many people who would become their good friends.
A celebration of Dad's life will be held on Thursday, September 17th at 2:00 pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52W Steinbach, MB with viewing at the chapel prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Heritage Cemetery on Loewen Blvd.
