GERTRUDE (TRUDY) GRAVELINE
(née HUDSON)
April 27, 1936 - October 1, 2020

Trudy passed away peacefully on October 1, 2020, with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Katherine Hudson, son-in-law Dennis, mother-in-law Lizzie, sisters-in-law, Lynn and Isabel, and brother-in-law Alan.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathy (Blair), Gord (Kim), Laura (Rene) and Blair (Lisa); grandchildren, Brenna (Josh), Blake (Erin), Tanner and Jordan; step-grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan), Karina, Stephanie (Chris) and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Liam and Mark; step-grandchildren, Natalie, Keira, Samantha, Peyton and Nyla; sister-in-law Gail (Keith); brother-in-law Don (Cathi), as well as extended family in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
Trudy was a devoted mother and grandmother who put others ahead of herself. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Her delicious home baked cookies and funny stories were always in abundance. Mom's involvement in the community was important to her. She would often reminisce about two of her most favourite memories: working with young children in the Tiny Tot program at Roblin Park Community Centre, and as a skate patrol at Eric Coy. Even as a busy hockey mom, she found time to play baseball with the ladies in the community. She leaves behind many friends who were such an important part in her life.
In compliance with Trudy's wishes a private family remembrance will occur at a later date.
Mom loved the companionship of dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society.

Forever in our hearts.

  • Trudy was one of my most favourite aunts. So welcoming and always cheerful no matter what may be happening in her own life. I have so many great memories. Especially the family get togethers. We always had so much fun. I remember so vividly her wedding day. It was the first wedding I ever attended. My heart aches for her family. Such a loss. May you take some comfort in the special times shared. Remembering some of her terrific stories will always bring a smile Lots of love to all of you - Posted by: Glenda Bobbie (Niece) on: Oct 13, 2020
