• It is with the greatest of sadness that offer sympathy to Richards family and friends. Richard was caretaker at Oakenwald for many many years where I was a teacher. I loved his visits to my classroom as he came to pick up the garbage and recycling or just stopped in to connect. Whenever he came , he always had a great deal of information about world events/happenings. I could tell that Richard appreciated his family and spoke of them often. He was so excited when he came to tell me that he had decided to retire. I knew that I would miss his friendly visits, but was happy that he could take life easier. I am truly sorry that he was not able to enjoy a longer retirement which he certainly had earned! • When we met Pete we instantly became good friends. We enjoyed our daily walks & along with the fun made lots of memories we will cherish. Not to mention our weekly Family Day for coffee.
