Dear Joanne and Family, sending prayers and comforting hugs at this time. Our memories of Jim started when we moved to East St. Paul., and our children played hockey and baseball as Jim and Harve coached, Dave & Ryan. Jim was a fantastic family man and a kind warm hearted person! THE GOOD LORD DECIDED THAT HE NEEDED A TRUE LEADER TO SIT BY HIS SIDE TO OVERSEE HIS KINGDOM . My sincere condolences to Joanne and family. Jim had the warmest hugs for me and my husband Ken. He always took the time to kibitz about Ken's love of the Chicago Blackhawks. When he passed away, Jim called me and his sincere words and caring meant so much to me. I will never forget his kindness during a difficult time. Rest in Peace dear Jim - Posted by: Lori MacDonald (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2020

We are so incredibly sad to hear about the passing of your Dad. We are thinking of you in your hours of grief, wishing we could be with you. The kind, selfless nature of your Dad was felt by so many. We could see the pride in your expression every time you talked about him! We know the lessons taught by your loving and wise Dad will last a lifetime. May you always feel his presence in your heart! Sending much love and peace. xoxo - Posted by: Rachel & Barry Hudson (Friends of Diane & Remi ) on: Nov 05, 2020

To Joanne and family I offer my sincerest condolences. I worked with Jim at GWL and at other companies whenever our paths crossed over the years. Jim was the was the kindest most considerate person I ever worked with, always an encouraging word and and a comforting smile. He was an example I tried to emulate alas not always succeeding. Miss you Jim I know your in a better place with the heavenly father. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Clare Cremer (Work colleague and Friend) on: Nov 04, 2020

I met Jim around 1975 when we were taking a night school computer science course. I am not sure how the dialogue started but he learned I was from Beausejour and that I knew the Wasney family and we were instantly friends. It did not take me long to realize Jim was a soft spoken, kind and sincere human. Later we both worked at the Great-West Life Assurance Company where we often met and played golf a few times on the annual sports day. My sincere condolences to family and friends. RIP Jim. - Posted by: Dave Donahue (former GWL friend) on: Nov 02, 2020

I've known Jim and the Wachal family my whole life. He was a very giving, caring, loving, family man. I have many memories of his days growing, selling his gladiolas. I was friends with his daughters and sometimes hung out at his house over the yrs and remember his daughters telling me stories about their dad.. I even got to out with him and the family a few times. He had a real good heart and I have lots of good memories of him. It's gonna be hard to think of him as gone. Now he has gone home to be with parents. I will miss ya Jim. Rip. š¢ā¤ - Posted by: Rachel cherwinski (Close friend of family) on: Nov 01, 2020

Jim was the first person to show me that a calm sense of humor was often a key to a difficult day. He had a sharp mind that inspired me to work harder as a student and work smarter as a software professional. I still hear his voice when I use and apply certain software engineering techniques that he taught me early in my career. I will miss him greatly. - Posted by: Claudio Sousa (Student and Colleague) on: Nov 01, 2020

Met Jim and Joane at Holy Redeemer Parish in 1986. We became very close friends. Jim ran a bible study group and invited me every week to join them. For over a year I declined and told him I do not know enough about the bible. He laughed and said, neither do I. I finally went and that is where I made the most important decision of my life. I gave my life to our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. That is what our dear friend did, he lived for the Lord. We are so thankful that we had Jim and still have Joane as our friends. They are blessed with four beautiful children and Grandchildren, who continue to share the Good News. Thank you for all the fun times and corn roast at your home . Rest In Peace our friend, you are home now. - Posted by: Ron and Joyce Reeves (Friends) on: Nov 01, 2020
