ALFRED HARDER
April 6, 1935 - November 10, 2020
Alfred was born the seventh of eighth children to Jakob and Maria Harder (nee Friesen).
He leaves to cherish in his memory his former wife Nona, and adopted children, Doug, Margret, Joyce, as well as his grandson Justin who lives in Calgary.
Alfred was predeceased by his father at the age of two, his mother at the age of 32; brother Jacob and sister Susan.
He is survived by five siblings, Peter (Carol), Mary, Martha, Helen (Henry) and Arthur (Anne).
Alfred worked for many years as a long distance truck driver, hauling heavy construction machinery throughout Western Canada for the Western Cason Company.
He was also an advid bowler in the Winnipeg Men's League. This is where he won many trophies and had averages in the 240 range which included a few perfect games.
He also loved to watch western movies, especially when they included John Wayne.
We want to thank the staff at Concordia Place and all who cared for Alfred for past years. To the staff at Holy Family, that gave him the very special care he needed. We, his family really appreciated that.
