MORLEY ROWE
June 29, 1934 November 9, 2020
Morley is survived by Shirley, his best friend and loving wife of 65 years, his loving sons, Terry, Trevor, and Bruce and brother, Walter. Along with very special daughters-in-law Camille, and Lisa and son-in-law, Brian Rodeck. He is cherished by his beloved grandchildren, Kevin (Ashley), Lesley (Will), Krystin, Jory, Kirk, Joe, Monte, Dustin (Samantha), and Erika. Morley was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Eva and his precious daughter, Jill (2004 due to ALS).
Born and educated in Manitoba, Morley was a family man, storyteller, an artist and an educator. He had a unique sense of humour and a passion for learning in which he spent many quiet hours reading - he especially enjoyed Ernest Hemmingway. When Morley wasn't reading or spending time with his family, he could be found at his art easel painting, or cruising the car lots. Morley could always be heard saying "Family Is Everything" and spent a great deal of time visiting with his children and grandchildren.
Without our dear family, friends of Vasa Lund Estates, and home care aides, Ryan and Kim, we would not have been able to manage through. As Morley was known to say, "Thanks Kindly", to all of you.
Morley wrote a portion of his own obituary before Dementia and Parkinson's robbed him of his mind and body. In ending he wrote,
"Therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee"
- Ernest Hemmingway.
Love ya forever. Rest peacefully, Dad and Grandpa.
Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of his life will occur at a later, safer date.
