EDWARD GRANT
December 17, 1933 - November 11, 2020
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves his devoted wife of 60 plus years of marriage, Lorna (Cairns); daughter Tracy (Les) Howard; son Todd; and granddaughters, Lauren Howard (Mike) and Caitlin (Mikael) Wsiaki. Ted is mourned by his sisters, Evelyn Richards and Shirley Wilson; brother (Bev) Marvin; sister-in-law Grace; stepbrother-in-law Robert (Cathy) Olson and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence and Jim and sister Eileen Maguire.
Ted was born in Miami, MB on December 17, 1933 to George and Jean Grant (deceased). Second to Ted's love of family was his passion for sports; downhill skiing, hockey and baseball in his younger years and golfing and curling in retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Heather Curling Club and devoted fan of the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Many happy summers were spent trailering with the Winnipeg Nomads trailer club, eventually leading to the purchase of a cabin at beautiful Clear Lake.
Ted had a long career with CIBC in Ontario and Manitoba, retiring in 1993 from Regional office in Winnipeg as the assistant manager of credits for the Manitoba/Saskatchewan region. He was a member of the St. Bartholomew Anglican Church and past member of the St. Vital Rotary and St. Vital Chamber of Commerce.
Ted was a confidant to many and we shall miss his humour and gentle personality. He was the heart of our home.
Donations may be made to Parkinson's Manitoba or The Alzheimer's society.
Memorial service will take place at a later date.

Condolences to all my cousins. I remember Ted best when he came to Pipestone on several occasions when we were about 15 or 16. Ted had a CAR and we had a ball heading out the creek for a swim or just "tooling" around town! I heard of Ted's death from Denver & Bev Wood today and am so sad for your family. My sincerest sympathies. Jim and Mary Grant - Posted by: James Grant (Cousin) on: Nov 16, 2020
