VIOLA MARGARET MORROW
A private funeral service was held at Brockie Donovan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
Viola leaves to mourn one sister, Alice of Victoria, BC; sons, Bill (Mary) and Brent (Sheila) of Margaret, MB; daughters, Judy (Norman), Jean (Allen) Muggaberg of Winnipeg and June (Jack) Johnston of Kelowna, BC. Also mourning are 12 grandchildren and their families which include 21 great-grandchildren.
Viola was the third child in a family of five. She was born on December 12, 1923 to William and Ida Bennett in Riceton, SK. Viola married Edgar Morrow on February 25, 1944 in Regina, SK. Shortly after the wedding they moved to Portage la Prairie where Edgar was stationed at the McConnell Air Base training to be a navigator; their first son was born there. In 1945, they moved to the family farm where five additional children were born. They remained on the farm until 1980 before retiring to Brandon where they continued to enjoy square dancing, golf, bridge, and family visits. After Edgar's passing on October 2, 1996, Viola moved to Winnipeg. She lived a full life there, enjoying her last five years with her daughter Jean.
She was predeceased by her three brothers; her husband, Edgar; daughter, Linda; and grandson, Keith.
