JACK EDWIN WRAY EYERS
Dad will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Shaliza (Dennis), Shireen (Wayne), Charmaine (Wayne), Kimberly (Doug), Jaimie (Tim), and Julie, his sisters, Lynda (Jim) and Myrna (Rudy), and his nieces and nephews, Brian, Ardith, Janet, Tricia, and Kari. He also leaves behind his life partner Cari, her daughter, Madie, and his beloved dogs, Tipper Joy, and Buster.
Dad loved all his grandchildren, Roy, Darren, Cheryl, Renee, Randy, Jesse, Alicia, TJ, Clayton, Brenden, Ashlee, Tyler, Lily, Ava, and Anderson, and great-granddaughter, Myla.
Dad was born December 3, 1952, in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Margaret and Edwin Eyers. He was predeceased by his brother, Wayne, his father Edwin, and his mother Margaret.
Dad married Verna Vidal in 1974, together they created their family and settled in Fort Rouge. Dad worked tirelessly to support his family. His love of the open road led him to become a long-haul truck driver. He eventually began his own business, Wrangler Truck Service. He was so incredibly proud of his shop and that his family could work together, spending endless hours, to make it a success. When the business was sold, Dad continued to drive a semi for Wrangler until his passing.
Dad's love and support of his family was immeasurable. He was someone you could rely on for help and advice, in every capacity. He was our rock. The love he had for his family was boundless. He was so incredibly proud of all of them.
Dad loved speed and racing, so much so, that he went to Las Vegas to drive a genuine NASCAR race car. He also loved spending time at the lake and farm, having bonfires, fireworks, safety meetings, and most recently playing Pickleball. Dad was also an avid War history buff.
Dad, you have left us, and all those you have touched, with a tremendous sadness and an emptiness in our hearts. We will miss you so very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

It was today that I was told that Jack had passed away on Nov. 21 this year. I was in total shock. I worked with Jack at Trimac Transport years ago and would meet him at truck stops often after he bought a cab over Kenworth. He was always a happy go lucky type of guy. I remember talking to him about the times he drove for George Smith Transport. Never complained at all. He was a hard working man who could do almost anything and make it work. Wrangler Truck Repair was a business he worked hard at and was extremely successful. I will miss his laughs and wisdom. But especially his care and concern for others and his love for dogs. - Posted by: ron kolesar (friend) on: Dec 05, 2020
