MARY SHYMKO
July 5, 1925 - November 21, 2020

With tears and heavy hearts, we share the passing of our Mary Shymko, from COVID-19.
She was a loving, caring and compassionate mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.
Mary's life revolved around her family, and she always put others ahead of herself.
Mary was an accomplished business woman, a cook, gardener and seamstress. Mary was known for her multilingual abilities, her hospitality, penmanship, and her aphorisms. She loved music, especially melodies played on the violin by her grandson, Ryan.
Mary was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 19, 1956. She never waivered in her dedication and devotion to our God and Creator, Jehovah.
She strongly believed the time would come when her sight would be restored when God's kingdom would govern the earth.
She was the happiest sharing the Bible based hope when death would be swallowed up forever, tears would be wiped from all eyes, and a resurrection to everlasting life on earth.
At Mary's request, no memorial service will be held.

See you in Paradise Mom.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I will always remember my Grandmother (Baka) for her soft spoken voice and care and concern for her family. She always wanted us to be safe and healthy. I wish I could have provided her with the care and safety she worked so hard to instil in us and deserved. The Baka I knew though, never wanted to impose. I look forward to the time when we will be together again and have no worries or stress about life. - Posted by: Larysa (Granddaughter ) on: Dec 09, 2020

  • To Mary Shymko's dear family, I'm so extremely sorrowful for your most painful and devastating loss. My deepest sympathies and condolences are with you all at this most difficult time. We all look forward to the day and times described at Rev. 21:3,4 come to fruition. Much love, Jill Greenwood - Posted by: Jill GREENWOOD (Friend) on: Nov 28, 2020

  • I only met Mary a few times but my daughter Jasmine is married to her grandson and when she moved to Canada from the USA the family adopted her emotionally. Mary (Baka) was a huge part of that with her acceptance, support and love. She will be missed until we can be together again. Hugs to the wonderful family she leaves behind. - Posted by: Marian ortiz (Spiritual sister) on: Nov 28, 2020
