ALBINA HARROW
Albina was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1926 in Wasylkow, Poland and immigrated to Winnipeg after the Second World War in 1949. She was predeceased by her brother Jasiu in 1945 and her husbands, Charles Harrow in 1999 and Hipolit Mikucki in 2016. Left to cherish her memory are son Rick (Aleksandra Dittmar) and grandchildren Megan and Ryan, and daughter Bonnie (Alan Whittaker) and grandsons Edward and Michael, stepdaughter and son Wanda and Richard.
Albina attended Success Business College in Winnipeg and worked for the Canadian Wheat Board and then the United Grain Growers as an IBM key-punch operator. She was a passionate gardener and an accomplished seamstress. She loved the forest and was knowledgeable about mushrooms and enjoyed going on all day picnics to gather. Albina was a devout member of Holy Ghost Parish and an active member of the St. Cecilia Choir, singing together with her friends for over 50 years. Family was the centre of her life and over the years, she especially liked to visit with the Lubocki's in Winnipeg, the Holubowich family in Oakbank, and travelled regularly to be with her children and grandchildren in the Toronto area. Albina was an inspiration for us all, bringing courage, strength, kindness, and most of all, enthusiasm for life. Never one to be daunted by any of life's challenges. A true "Ramblin' Rose" who will forever live in our hearts.
The family would especially like to thank all of the amazing staff at Niagara Long-Term Care, for their compassionate care and support provided to Albina. Also, the family greatly appreciates the support Albina previously received at Amber Meadows Assisted Living in Winnipeg.
Mass will be celebrated and live streamed on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. At that time, family, friends, and caregivers are invited to access Albina's on-line service through the Holy Ghost Church website as follows: www.holyghost.ca/ Broadcast/ Live Stream/ YouTube channel.
E-mail condolences may be made through www.cropo.com
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Albina Harrow to the Holy Ghost Church "In Memoriam Fund", 342 Pritchard Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2W 2J6.

A long life and a peaceful death are both extraordinary blessings, but the loss of a loved one is always difficult to endure. To all the Harrow and Mikucki families, immediate and extended, I'd like to offer my condolences on the loss of Albina. May she rest in peace, and as time moves forward may you all be blessed more every day, with happy memories of Albina while she was among you. - Posted by: Peter Paolucci (Friend to Albina's son, Rick) on: Dec 01, 2020

So sorry that your Mother is gone but he had a great life thanks to You and the ones who cared for HER My terrific memories are the one when Mrs.Harrow-her Uncle, her Daughter Bonnie and myself -went to Poland -It was a very happy and memorable trio. Even on the airplane we had fun-laughing and singing and then when we gt off the airplane in Warsaw we went to a restaurant to have dinner- Mrs. Harrow was wearing a beautiful yellow pant suit and during the dinner her Uncle spilled the whole bowl of Barszcz( Borscht) on her -you can just imagine how angry she was-but we lived through it and the memories remained for ever. Her smile never left her beautiful face and she was always so positive May she rest in peace-until we meet again to continue having fun. - Posted by: Krytyna Arndt (Friend of 60 years) on: Nov 29, 2020
