KATIE ROGODZINSKI
(nee KRYWENKO)
May 10, 1945 - November 30, 2020
Kay was predeceased by her infant son Daniel; parents, Mike and Mary Krywenko; and brothers, Mike and Walter.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband Tony; children, Cliff (Dawn) and Glenn (Loni); grandchildren, Brenden, Josie and Brianna; and sister Olga (George); along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and amazing neighbours who she was very close with and are an extended part of our family; Steve and Anita, Rachel and Chris, and Evelyn.
She was the youngest of four children, born and raised on the farm in Dallas, Manitoba. She worked hard with her family taking care of livestock and large vegetable gardens during her early years. She met the love of her life Tony and they were married in 1966. Mom loved the outdoors, gardening, and she enjoyed taking care of and planting flowers around the house. Mom was like a second mother to many. Everyone was welcomed with open arms and treated like family. Anyone could count on Mom for help or support when needed. Mom was a social butterfly and loved gatherings. Her presence in a room would be nothing short of entertaining with her sense of humour and witty remarks. There was never a shortage of food at these gatherings as Mom loved to cook and bake. She would make sure people had plenty to eat. Mom loved and cherished the time she spent with her family and her grandchildren whom she loved more than anything. She absolutely loved the time spent with them. Taking them places, teaching them how cook, bake, sew, watch them at their sports activities, and have pockets full of treats for them.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will take place when we can all gather together.
She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that
she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all
that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you
can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that
you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow
and live your life yesterday.
Or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only
that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and
let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Ray & I would like to extend our heart felt sympathies to you Tony, and your family. I knew Kay since Clifford was a baby. The Rogodzinski family were wonderful neighbours to our daughter's family. Kay was like a mother to them and a grand mother to their children. She would give them cabbage rolls, perogies and pies which they will miss but not nearly as much as they will miss Kay. Rest in piece Kay and keep that ever lasting smile on your face. Ray & Faye Mason - Posted by: Ray & Faye Mason (acquaintance) on: Dec 14, 2020

Eleanor and I were fortunate to be neighbours with Kay, Tony and the boys for about twelve years. We have very fond memories of Kay. We remember her friendship and hospitality. We remember the many summer evenings outside around the barbecue, the great food and all the laughs. Those were happy days with wonderful people. Thanks for the memories Kay, Tony, Cliff, and Glen. Take care & love, Ralph and Eleanor Link - Posted by: Ralph and Eleanor Link (Former neighbour ) on: Dec 05, 2020
