ANDREW NORMAND
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Cory, brother Josh (Vicki), and nana Marion. Also left to mourn are his large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Andrew was born November 5, 1992, a loving and curious child. He attended Sun Valley and Kildonan East Schools and enjoyed playing a variety of sports making many life long friendships. One of his favorite childhood memories was of family vacations and whether camping or visiting large cities he thrived exploring new places with those he loved.
After high school he worked, he fell in love and he embraced good friends who valued his humor, wit, generosity and kind heart. However, it's hard to chase your dreams when demons are chasing after you. Addiction is a disease that ravages lives, distorts truth, steals joy and is relentless. Andrew fought hard and was in treatment at the time of his passing. It truly was a gift to see the light return to him during the last few months.
Rest now Andrew and know that you were loved.

I've only known Andrew a couple years, but those couple years working along side him and fishing with him where some amazing times. Always eager to do better and be better always wanting to learn or be involved with everything happening. We remember Drew growing up as our son was good friends with Josh. We hadn't seen Drew in years but remember him as a sweet and gentle young person. This saddens me deeply. I feel like I met him when he was at his best and I really cherish that time. A song he left me with that makes me think of him Kansas City by the new basement tapes...he always made me listen to it. “And I love you dear but just how long can I keep singing the same old song” And I’ll always remember how good you were a vaping and your smile and how kind you were. Dear Cory, Wayne and Josh. Words cannot express my tremendous sorrow over the loss of Andrew. He and Chris were such great friends to each other when things got tough and I will always be thankful for his friendship with Chris. You are in my thoughts and will continue to be in my prayers as you move forward in life trying to learn to live a life without Andrew in it. Please know that Andrew will be fondly remembered.
