NICKOLAS WILLIAM KAPELL
June 30, 1927 - December 6, 2020

Nic was born in Windthorst, Saskatchewan to William and Charlotte Kapell. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane Hoodekoff, whom he fell in love with at first sight, and who was the only woman he ever loved.
Survived by daughter Alana Ann (Peter Kelly); son Nickolas Patrick (Jo Simes); granddaughter Alana Rae Kapell (Jason Wilson); grandson Sean (Jess) Kapell; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob and Seth.
Nic Kapell's saving grace throughout his life and even with failing memory was his sense of humour: he laughed at life as well as himself. He gave 100 percent to any job that he undertook, from managing theatres throughout Saskatchewan, to selling Planter's Peanuts, to being a manager in the Physical Plant at the University of Regina. He enjoyed talking to people and was an eloquent story-teller. He enjoyed entertaining his extended family and had several good friends and neighbours who looked out for him in his declining years in Regina prior to relocating to Winnipeg.
We will always be grateful for Vi Kearns, Ed Joorisity, Doug Barker, Booker and Roberta Cornea, and his nephew Billy Kapell.
At Nic's request there will be no service.
The family will get together at a later date to celebrate Nic's life.
