LARRY GOUTSOS
Larry was born in 1940 in Niata, Laconias Greece. He immigrated to Canada in 1959 where he worked as a barber. He established "Larry's Babershop" in St Boniface on Tache Ave. As a barber, he became very well known in the area and established many friendships. He always greeted customers with a smile and his easy-going, happy personality always made folks feel welcome. Larry ran the barbershop for over 50 years.
He spent his retirement years visiting friends and family. Larry enjoyed the simple life; summer barbeques, a glass a wine and time with friends. He would often take road trips to Grand Forks where he would enjoy the day shopping. Larry also had a passion for cars and collecting all kinds of interesting materials for projects.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Perry; brothers, George (Georgia) and Kosta (Voula); sister Metaxia (John); longtime friend Alice; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Interment followed at Waverley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

Larry was my barber and turned into one of my best friends. I'm sorry to hear he died in a nursing home after a short stay. I'm sorry I couldn't see him during his last days. I'll always remember how kind he was towards me. So long good friend. - Posted by: David Smith (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2021

Larry & I go back over 30 years. So sad to hear of his passing. We spent many hours together fixing the ills of the world at his shop, his home and on the front patio of my home a block away from his. I surely miss his greeting "Mister Paul, How's By You". Rest in peace my friend. "Mister Paul" - Posted by: PAUL DE CRAENE (Friend/Neighbor) on: Jan 05, 2021
